Course Overview

 

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles. It is likely that these individuals are establishing their own work performance.

Individuals in these roles carry out a range of routine procedural, clerical, administrative or operational tasks that require technology and business skills. They apply a broad range of competencies using some discretion, judgment and relevant theoretical knowledge. They may provide technical advice and support to a team.

Combine theoretical knowledge with real-world application to build transferable skills that will give you a solid foundation for a variety of business services job roles.

Study Options

 

trs.This course is delivered using either a mixed mode of delivery (face-to-face and self-paced online) or on-line delivery. The duration of this course will be dependent on the current skills, knowledge and prior learning of the learner as well as any timeframes indicated by the employer (if any).

Yanchep Institute anticipates that the average timeframe for the course will be twelve to eighteen months. However, the learner could finish in less than 12 months, (dependent upon their level of industry experience and prior knowledge and skills).

This course consists of six core units:

  • BSBTWK301 Use inclusive work practices
  • BSBWHS311 Assist with maintaining workplace safety

This course consists of seven elective units of which:

  • 2 elective units must be selected from Group A (below)
  • 1 elective unit must be selected from Group B (below)
  • 4 elective units may be from Groups A – G (in the following section)

Choose a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 from the below:

  • BSBWRT311 Write simple documents
  • BSBXCS302 Identify and report online security threats
  • BSBTEC202 Use digital technologies to communicate in a work environment
Group B (Business Competence)

Choose a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 4 from the below:

  • BSBPEF301 Organise personal work priorities

    • CUAWRT301 Write content for a range of media (forms part of the social media specialisation)
    • ICTWEB306 Develop web presence using social media (forms part of the social media specialisation)
    • CUADIG304 Create visual design components

Entry Requirements

 

To enrol in this course, you must have a unique email address, and a USI (Unique Student Identifier). Additionally, technological literacy and reliable internet access is required. Proficiency in English is essential, and non-native speakers must pass a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.
